Dies ist wichtig, weil ein Penis erigiert wird, wenn sich die Arterien ausdehnen und sich mit Blut füllen. Viagra erreicht dies durch die Freisetzung von Stickstoffmonoxid, was zu einer Vasodilatation führt und das Blut zum spongiösen Penisgewebe steigert. Es sollte jedoch darauf geachtet werden, dass Viagra nicht mit einer fetthaltigen Mahlzeit dosiert wird, da dies die Wirkung des Medikaments beeinträchtigen kann.
Viagra sollte bei ungefähr 25 Grad Celsius gelagert werden und von direktem Licht und Feuchtigkeit ferngehalten werden. Selbstverständlich ist es auch außerhalb der Reichweite von Kindern und Haustieren zu halten.
